Last updated: 2026-07-23. This notice explains how BillLitz (operated by LogicLitz) handles information when you use the app at https://billlitz.logiclitz.org.
Not legal advice. This page describes our product practices. Requirements under the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), and other laws can vary — contact us if you need a formal request.
Who is responsible
- Controller / Data Fiduciary (product): LogicLitz
- Contact (privacy / grievances): info@logiclitz.org
- Website: logiclitz.org
- HQ: Surat, Gujarat, India (see LogicLitz site for current address)
What stays on your device
BillLitz is local-first. By default we do not require an account and do not sync invoices to LogicLitz servers.
- Business profile and logo
- Invoice drafts and issued history
- Reports computed from on-device history
- Optional app-lock password hash (never the plain password)
- Install / tour preferences, cookie/ads consent choice, optional FX rate cache
App lock (optional)
App lock is a device unlock screen. Your password is hashed with PBKDF2 on this device. It does not encrypt invoices, history, or profile data at rest — someone with access to your unlocked browser storage (or DevTools) can still read that data.
What may leave the device
- Optional PDF share / download you trigger yourself
- Optional live FX rates when you choose “All → home currency” in Reports (third-party rate API; typically no ad cookies)
- Optional Google AdSense when you allow ads and a unit is configured — Google may set cookies or use similar technologies under Google’s ads policies and Google Privacy Policy
- First-party LogicLitz “house” product tips (no Google AdSense script)
Cookies & similar technologies
See the dedicated Cookie policy. Summary:
- Essential: on-device storage required to run the invoice app
- Advertising (optional): Google AdSense only after you choose Allow ads in the consent banner
You can change your mind anytime via Cookie settings in the app footer.
Legal bases (EU / UK GDPR — summary)
- Essential app storage: necessary to provide the service you request (contract / legitimate interest in operating a local app)
- AdSense / advertising cookies: consent (ePrivacy + GDPR) — we do not load Google ads until you allow ads
- FX fetch: legitimate interest / service feature you trigger in Reports
India DPDP — Data Principal rights (summary)
Where DPDP applies, you may have rights to access, correction, erasure, and withdrawal of consent for personal data we process as a Data Fiduciary. For BillLitz:
- Most invoice data never leaves your browser — you can erase it via Backup → erase or clear site data
- Consent for ads can be withdrawn in Cookie settings (stops future Google ad loads on this device)
- Grievance / requests: email info@logiclitz.org with “DPDP / privacy request” in the subject
Your rights (EU / UK and similar)
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection, and you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because most data is on-device, the fastest erase path is usually Backup → erase or clearing this site’s data in your browser. For assistance: info@logiclitz.org.
Children
BillLitz is aimed at businesses and freelancers. It is not directed at children.
Backups & clearing data
Export from Backup (or link a desktop folder) so clearing site data does not wipe your work. Optional password protection encrypts a downloaded .billlitz file with AES-GCM. “Erase all data” resets BillLitz on this browser; files already saved outside the browser are not deleted.
International transfers
If you allow Google ads, Google may process data on servers outside your country under Google’s terms. LogicLitz does not operate a BillLitz cloud invoice database.
Changes
We may update this notice. The “Last updated” date will change. Material cookie/ads purpose changes may re-prompt consent.
